Bursters are worm-like creatures that can be found on Azeroth and Outland. They hide from danger in loose soil, and also emerge when prey is near to pounce upon it. They cannot be attacked while they are underground by weapons or spells. Even when you do engage them in combat above ground, they will try to burrow back under and jump out again behind you. You can tell when one is near by the movement of soil. ( )
Types of bursterEdit
- Bone worm (Found in the Bone Wastes.)
- Sand worm (The Skin of the Great Sandworm, and the quest where you turn it in, both call Ouro a "sandworm". Warcraft: The Roleplaying Game says that "sand worms" live in Tanaris. This may be the greater creature type.)
- Dune worm (A critter from Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne that may be related.)
- Crust Burster
- Greater Crust Burster
- Marauding Crust Burster
- Nethermine Burster
- Scourged Burster
- Young Crust Burster (Looks like a Worm/Rock borer because it is unable to tunnel.)
