PvP Rewards consist of different kind of items (Armor/Weapons/Trinkets, etc) that can be purchased using either [Honor Points] or specific PVP tokens awarded by fighting in outdoors in some Outland zones. Items awarded for Honor Points can be purchased from vendors in the Champions' Hall (Alliance) or the Hall of Legends (Horde). Faction specific battleground rewards must be purchased from vendors at the entrances of the battleground (Not from the cities where the Battlemasters are located). The only exception is Alterac Valley, in which you may purchase PvP rewards from vendors outside Alterac Valley, as well as from vendors inside the instance itself.

Arena & Battlegrounds

Arena was introduced with the release of The Burning Crusade. Each Arena Season brings a unique set of Arena Rewards. With the onset of a new season, the previous rewards will be available for a 15% discount, while the predecessor to that set will be available for purchase with honor and battleground tokens. For example, with the start of Season 3, Season 2 armor will be discounted 15% while Season 1 gear will be a battleground reward. At the release of Season 4, Season 2 then replaces Season 1 and so on.

Since The Burning Crusade all PvP gear has come from Arena, with the most recent season rewards requiring participation in arena and the previous season rewards requiring participation in battlegrounds.

World of Warcraft (Level 60)

Prior to the first expansion battlegrounds were the only method of obtaining PvP gear.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (Level 70)

During this expansion four seasons were played.

Season 1 - All weapons and off-set armor no longer available. On-set armor purchased from Karynna on the Isle of Quel'Danas for Tier 4 tokens.
Season 2 - All weapons and off-set armor no longer available. On-set armor purchased from Olus and Soryn on the Isle of Quel'Danas for Tier 5 and 6 tokens.
Season 3 - All items are no longer available.
Season 4 - Bought with honor from faction PvP vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar or from Krixel Pinchwhistle in Area 52 in Netherstorm.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (Level 80)

During this expansion four seasons were played.

Season 5 - No longer bought with honor. Purchased from various vendors in Dalaran with [Justice Points]. Hands/Legs/Chest are also dropped from 10/25 man Archavon the Stone Watcher and 10 man Emalon the Storm Watcher.
Season 6 - Purchased from various vendors in Dalaran and the Argent Tournament Grounds for [Justice Points]. Most pieces are also dropped from 25 man Emalon the Storm Watcher and 10 man Koralon the Flame Watcher.
Season 7 - Purchased from Arena vendors in the Dalaran Sewers and faction PvP vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Most pieces are also dropped from 25 man Koralon the Flame Watcher and 10 man Toravon the Ice Watcher.
Season 8 - Purchased from Arena vendors in the Dalaran Sewers and faction PvP vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Most pieces are also dropped from 25 man Toravon the Ice Watcher.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (Level 85)

This expansion is currently in its second PvP season.

Season 9 - Purchased from faction PvP vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Most pieces are also dropped from Argaloth in Baradin Hold.
Season 10 - Purchased from Conquest Point Quartermaster and Glorious Conquest Quartermaster in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Most pieces are also dropped from Occu'thar in Baradin Hold.

These can be purchased using PvP tokens awarded by completing zone specific PvP objectives.

The items that form these sets can be purchased from various faction vendors upon reaching honored reputation.
