Overview
Anyone can get angry, but the ability to amplify that into something truly destructive, and then to harness it for practical purpose, takes a surprising amount of self-discipline; a feat that truly sets the Berserker apart from most Warriors.
Functionality
Berserker Rage is a self-buff that costs 0 Rage. It renders the Warrior immune to [Fear] and Knockout effects, notably [Sap], and causes extra Rage to be generated when taking damage. It lasts 10 seconds, and has a 30 second cooldown timer.
Use
- Cast Cost: none
- Cast Time: Instant
- Duration: 10 Seconds
- School and Damage Type: Physical
- Targets/Positioning: Self
- Range: Self
- Cooldown: 30 Seconds
- Stances: [Berserker Stance]
Talents
[Improved Berserker Rage] (Adds Rage Generation)
Notes
[Fear] Immunity. Knockout Immunity.
Rank Table
Rank | Rage Cost | Duration | Level | Cost |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rank 1 | 0 | 10 Seconds | 32 | 126 |
Notes
This ability is the bread and butter of [Berserker Stance] fighting. With 0 Rage cost and no penalties, there really is no reason not to spam this out every time it lights up. The extra Rage created can then be used to more swiftly throw out the Berserker Stance big-hitters; [Whirlwind], [Pummel], etc, and goes quite a way toward indirectly offsetting the +10% damage taken for being in the Stance in the first place.
It is worth noting that it does not actually create rage itself (unless using [Improved Berserker Rage]), so to get the most out of it, you will need to have aggro.
The immunities can help immensely in PvP combat, where any class who can uses [Fear] often. Carefully timed Fear immunity can really ruin a Warlock's day, and the Knockout immunities help defend against several Rogue abilities.
