Not to be confused with Azoran.

Azora is an unknown entity. Evidence of Azora is uncommon but present. Azora may just be the name of the tower.

For example, the Tower of Azora in Elwynn Forest, where the Archmage of Azora, Theocritus, and the Servants of Azora help defend Stormwind. There is also a pure-intellect ring that bears the name of Azora's Will as well as the artifact Hand of Azora.

Speculation[]

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

Azora may be related to Ilgalar. The theory is that Ilgalar is an entity as well and both entities are counterparts where Azora is the "good" one and Ilgalar the "evil" one. They both have much in common:

  • Azora got the Tower of Azora in Elwynn Forest, full of servants (gnomes) and the mage Theocritus; a former Kirin Tor member dedicated to defend Stormwind.
  • Ilgalar got the Tower of Ilgalar in Redridge Mountains, full of evil servants (Demonic Darkhounds) and the Champion Morganth; An evil warlock studying the Dark Arts.
  • Some kind of relationship between them is also hinted by the Eye of Azora, located in the tower, which shows the user a cinematic of the upper room in the Tower of Ilgalar.
