Arazzius the Cruel is a level 63 elite eredar warlock, and loyal servant of the leader of the Burning Legion, Kil'jaeden. Arazzius the Cruel resides at his throne protected by many demons on the top of the mountain at the Pools of Aggonar in the Hellfire Peninsula.

Note: He is not stunnable and part way through the fight he summons Infernal adds.

Quest Notes

Hunter Strategy

A Hunter can solo this demon. First, clear all mobs up the east side of the pools. Now clear away Arazzius' adds. While kiting, be sure to remain near your maximum range, as you will need to outrange his abilities (40yd, I believe) to avoid daze in Aspect of the Cheetah. (Note: I have only ever done this with a 41yd range using Hawk Eye 3/3 talent) As long as you get him out of the pools before respawn, he can be easily kited in this manner to Thrallmar or Temple of Telhamat.

The hardest part of this strategy is his infernals. When I did this as a lowbie Hunter, he never summoned any, however in several kites afterwards for friends and such, I have seen that he does on occasion summon infernals. There are 2 ways of dealing with these, using your pet or your traps.

Using a frost trap, you can slow both infernals enough to remove them from the fight. The hard part of this strategy is Arazzius himself, you must ensure he is not also snared, as then the speed reduction on the infernals is irrelevant, you'll still be caught while waiting for Arazzius. To ensure he is not snared, the moment the infernals hit the trap, you must begin running at an angle, so that Arazzius runs past the frost aura. This strategy is obviously dictated by your level, mobs near you, and your aggro range. Not recommended for lower level players.

Using your pet is far simpler. Simply have your pet tag both infernals, I find assigning hotkeys for your pet's attack useful for this purpose. It's difficulty lies in target switching, as you will need to target the infernal, send pet to attack, retarget Arazzius to keep the kite going. Then you'll need to target the second infernal, pet attack, and retarget Arazzius. All the while continuing to avoid mobs and keep Arazzius from resetting.
