According to [[Artifact]], qc-artifact really should be red. I appreciate that this might cause some confusion with wiki red links, but it's not something that's going to appear frequently, and I think accuracy of the colour in the few places it's used wins over possible confusion with red links. Some pages are using <code><nowiki><font color="red">...</font></nowiki></code>, instead of <code><nowiki><font class="qc-artifact">...</font></nowiki></code>, e.g. [[Quality]]. --{{User:WoWWiki-Murph/Sig}} 06:27, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

:Hmm, I did some checking with [[API_GetItemQualityColor]], and it seems not. Artifact is currently reported as #e6cc80 in-game, as of 3.0.3, so the current value is correct for now. --{{User:WoWWiki-Murph/Sig}} 02:47, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

== qc-rare ==
  +
Having checked [[API GetItemQualityColor]] in 3.0.3, it looks like we're not using the official colors for uncommon and rare. The game currently reports it as #0070dd. We currently have:
  +
<pre> .qc-rare, .qc-rare a { color: #0070FF; }</pre>
  +
Here's a comparison to see the difference:
  +
*<span style="color: #0070FF">#0070FF, Current WoWWiki qc-rare</span>
  +
*<span style="color: #0070DD">#0070DD, Current in-game (3.0.3)</span>
  +
It's a small difference on my screen, but we seem to have gone for the exact colours on the others, so I'm wondering why there's a difference here. --{{User:WoWWiki-Murph/Sig}} 02:47, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

== Experimental background colors ==

I like the background definitions in the experimental section:
  +
*.bg-darkgray
  +
*.bg-darkblue
  +
*.bg-darkred
  +
*.bg-darkgreen
  +
and would like to use them in e.g. [[Instances by level]]. That page now uses hard-coded colors, and looks terrible in a light skin. See [http://www.wowwiki.com/Instances_by_level?useskin=monaco Instances by level (light skin)], and compare [http://www.wowwiki.com/Instances_by_level?useskin=wowwiki Instances by level (dark skin)]. With the experimental background definitions this could look like:
  +
*'''Colors:''' <span class="bg-darkblue">&nbsp;Regular Dungeon&nbsp;</span>, <span class="bg-darkred">&nbsp;Heroic Dungeon&nbsp;</span>, <span class="bg-darkgreen">&nbsp;Raid Dungeon&nbsp;</span>
  +
Note that the bg-darkblue and bg-darkred are much to grey-ish, too drab. It would be nice if these could be brightened up.
  +
  +
Questions:
  +
*Will these experimental classes be made permanent in the stylesheet? If so, when?
  +
*If they will stay experimental, is it possible to use them in regular wowwiki pages?
  +
*Could bg-darkblue and bg-darkred be made less grey in the default setting?

Some of the class color classes ("cc-Shaman", etc.) have incorrect color codes. The Priest and Rogue codes are different for readability on skins with white backgrounds (i.e. everything but DarkVector), but the Shaman, Warlock, and Death Knight colors could be changed to the [[Class colors|correct colors]] without changing readability. {{User:Riokou/Sig}} 22:31, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Quality Color for TCG loot cards

Is it possible to get a .qc-loot or something added for use with the TCG cards pages for coloring the parts about the loot cards? It needs to be a red color: FF0000. --User:Dparvin/Sig 10:28, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

qc-artifact should be red?

According to Artifact, qc-artifact really should be red. I appreciate that this might cause some confusion with wiki red links, but it's not something that's going to appear frequently, and I think accuracy of the colour in the few places it's used wins over possible confusion with red links. Some pages are using <font color="red">...</font>, instead of <font class="qc-artifact">...</font>, e.g. Quality. --Murph (talk · contr) 06:27, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, I did some checking with API_GetItemQualityColor, and it seems not. Artifact is currently reported as #e6cc80 in-game, as of 3.0.3, so the current value is correct for now. --Murph (talk · contr) 02:47, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

qc-rare

Having checked API GetItemQualityColor in 3.0.3, it looks like we're not using the official colors for uncommon and rare. The game currently reports it as #0070dd. We currently have:

 .qc-rare, .qc-rare a { color: #0070FF; }

Here's a comparison to see the difference:

  • #0070FF, Current WoWWiki qc-rare
  • #0070DD, Current in-game (3.0.3)

It's a small difference on my screen, but we seem to have gone for the exact colours on the others, so I'm wondering why there's a difference here. --Murph (talk · contr) 02:47, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Experimental background colors

I like the background definitions in the experimental section:

  • .bg-darkgray
  • .bg-darkblue
  • .bg-darkred
  • .bg-darkgreen

and would like to use them in e.g. Instances by level. That page now uses hard-coded colors, and looks terrible in a light skin. See Instances by level (light skin), and compare Instances by level (dark skin). With the experimental background definitions this could look like:

  • Colors:  Regular Dungeon ,  Heroic Dungeon ,  Raid Dungeon

Note that the bg-darkblue and bg-darkred are much to grey-ish, too drab. It would be nice if these could be brightened up.

Questions:

  • Will these experimental classes be made permanent in the stylesheet? If so, when?
  • If they will stay experimental, is it possible to use them in regular wowwiki pages?
  • Could bg-darkblue and bg-darkred be made less grey in the default setting?
