Zeramas - Full View

Zeramas

Zeramas

A view of Zeramas from below.

Zeramas is a Scourge necropolis floating above the Reliquary of Agony in western Zul'Drak. Unlike other necropolises, it cannot be teleported into from the ground, and the upper part is completely cut off; the only way to enter is by using a flying mount. The necropolis contains a one-way teleporter down to the Reliquary of Agony, but the teleporter to the second floor does not work.

Despite the Scourge forces teeming beneath it, Zeramas itself is completely empty, with neither living nor undead inhabitants. Upon visiting the area, Muradin Bronzebeard noted that he couldn't help but wonder what could've caused the necropolis' entire population to disappear without a trace, and Brann wondered if the responsible party was friendly.[1]

Notes and trivia

  • Since Zeramas was not intended to be flown through while players quest in the zone, it is likely that it was only added for looks. However, its mysterious lack of inhabitants is lampshaded in Exploring Azeroth: Northrend.
  • The subzone can only be discovered (for the purposes of Achievement zone zuldrak 03 [Explore Zul'Drak]) by flying up to it.
