Wiley the Black is a human quest giver located in the Lakeshire Inn in the Redridge Mountains. Gryan Stoutmantle once did a significant favor for him; in Wiley's own words, Gryan saved his life.[1] As repayment, Wiley revealed information about the Defias Brotherhood.
He joined the Uncrowned and is found in the Hall of Shadows. He sits on a barrel, fishing.
He later traveled to Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore. He is standing next to Master Longfang in stealth.

Speculation[]
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

- As he has plenty of knowledge on the plans of the Brotherhood, he is likely an ex-member of the organization or its predecessor, the Stonemasons.
- In frustration with the bluntness of Wiley's Note, Gryan Stoutmantle says he "should have let that scoundrel rot when [he] had the chance."[2] Since the phrase "let him rot" often implies a person languishing in confinement, it may be that Wiley was in prison or facing prison time, and Gryan got him out.
