I have been playing Warcraft (II; III; WoW) for over a decade (I don't play much of anything these days). In addition, I'm a big fan of WoWPedia (WoWWiki) and have been a user since 2005. I probably won't be making too many edits—there are much smarter folks doing that work and I am busy turning my dissertation (focused on WoWWiki and completed in 2010) on collaborative writing with wikis and concepts such as authorship and audience into articles and a book. Feel free to email me with any questions or post to my talk page (rhunter [at] sjfc [dot] edu).

I've been away from the community for far too long and initially missed the move to WoWPedia. I just completed my first year as an Assistant Professor of English at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY and was very busy creating new courses to teach courses in the interdisciplinary Digital Cultures & Technologies minor and simply learning what it means to be a professor. However, I'm getting back to research this summer with the help of a modest grant. I hope to be on the IRC regularly and plan to examine the process of the move to WoWPedia and learn more about what contributors to the wiki think of this participation.

Great job so far. Formatting looks fine. As to RC, surprisingly enough admins don't seem to be on IRC right now, or if they are, they're AFK. Ressy (talk) 18:16, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

:I blame kd3, who had enough time to suggest the faction disambiguation template but not enough time to mention an achievement template. :-) No, I was mainly kidding when I said that on the talk page. In this case, a redirect does hurt. There is a new quest under this name in Darkshore — see Darkshore storyline — and I asked to delete the old article specifically for this reason. - LucidFox (talk) 10:15, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

 • You can find the article about collaborative writing on WoWWiki here or here.

If you're interested in reading a very early draft of an article I'm currently working on, just let me know. I'd be happy to get your feedback.
