The Viewing Room is a chamber within Scholomance.
The door to it is locked and the key can only be obtained from Rattlegore, who can be found in one of the basement rooms nearby.
Inside the Viewing Room are a bunch of students, Marduk Blackpool and Vectus. These NPCs wont attack players passing through the room unless one of the players uses 
[Dawn's Gambit] which turns all the students into non-elite skeletons.
Most groups will leave this room unmolested unless one of the players is attempting to complete Quest:Dawn's Gambit
There is a persistent rumor (at least on Bloodhoof-EU) that you can NOT talk to the students, Marduk nor Vectus, because doing so will cause them to aggro. As far as I've been able to tell, this is blatently false. I talk to a bunch of them each time I'm there just to scare group members silly (and I've been there a lot with my various characters), and so far they've never aggroed. I assume the rumor originated when someone was talking to a mob while someone else used Dawn's Gambit, and went ahead and assumed that it was their talking that did it. --Mikk 07:24, 27 May 2006 (EDT)
