Valimar Mordis was once a human nobleman, but the Scourge murdered and revived him, transforming him into an undead minion. Later he regains his identity and joins the Forsaken. Later Anveena allied with Mordis. He appeared to befriend her under the guise of helping her find her friends, but he had dark plans for her. [1]

Companion to Trag Highmountain.

History

Valimar Mordis was once a human lord who ruled a small barony in the Alterac Mountains. He ruled over his land as a gentle and kind man. He once befriended a Tauren named Trag an explorer from the continent of Kalimdor. He had a long and successful rule until the Scourge came and killed every human in his kingdom. The Scourge then resurrected him and used him as one of their more powerful warriors. He did many evil deeds while under the Scourge's influence, until one day he killed an Archmage during a raid on an Alliance town, and regained his free will.

Valimar then returned to his old home, only to see it in ruins. Trag was still there, however and protected the land from intruders. Valimiar acted as if he was glad to see Trag again (though he actually only intended to use him) and together they hunted the Scourge. They hunted one Scourge zombie in particular called Ichor who wielded an Orb of Ner'Zhul, an artifact used to revive ancient beasts for the Lich King's service... However Mordis had his own plans for the orb to use it in order to spread the will of the forsaken, and create his own army of undead, and he didn't care who he used in order to achieve that goal. Ultimately Trag figured out Mordis plan, and sacrified himself in order to stop Valimar from completing his agenda.

Reason for becoming Forsaken and speculaton about his name, and his lands

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

Since the Baron regained his senses, it is possible he could've looked for kindred spirits, thus meaning he met Sylvannas Windrunner or other Forsaken.

Its unknown if Mordis is Valimar's real last name. Since the prefix of his last name, "mor" comes from the word meaning death, it is more than likely it was a name he took up after becoming either Scourge, or later as a Forsaken. In Forsaken naming convention it is standard for an individual to take on a name representing who he become.Template:Cite This would imply that Baron Mordis would actually have had a different name, when he was alive.

As his barony, included areas within the Alterac Mountains he could infact have been a Perenolde, perhaps even Baron Perenolde himself.
