Q from Adys's page[]

You asked the question of "Can I get notices of deletions / moves" to which the answer is, not yet. On MW 1.13 you can via Special:Watchlist (the version currently running on WM wikis), but not us at this time. --Sky (t · c · w) 20:46, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, any normal edit will trigger your watchlist. We don't usually delete guilds right out of the blue (instead waiting for Stub/Guild to be up for 30 days and then going by Wowpedia:Guild stubs). --Sky (t · c · w) 03:12, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Duplicate zone map note[]

Per "duplicate zone map note" and removal of 2nd zone map note from Harlown Darkweave article; the second was not a duplicate, you should have noticed that the coordinates were not the same. In Harlown's case, they were close.

The duplicates represent different reported values for the NPC/MOB/object's reported location on different sources. It may represent an actual different spawning location, or a wandering mob. I've put as many as four zone map notes with different coordinates for nominally static NPCs. Some NPCs would need a route to accurately describe their location. When they are as close as Harlown's, I was unable to see the second set, but if they do not overlap so tightly, the various values are observable, if not exactly evident. When you are hunting for an NPC/MOB/object, it is useful to have options for where to look when they are not where you expect.

I won't change it back, because the variation on this NPC was slight, but I think it is good practice to represent all of the observed data and not pre-filter, no? Chances are good that when someone reported 59.9 (see WoWHead), they were not mistaking 59.9 for 60. Madkaugh (talk) 05:06, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Inv egg 05 [Salt Shaker][]

I meant to put 47 hours, because that's what it said on the patch notes, but I realize that conflicted with the 70 hours CD mentioned on the Inv egg 05 [Salt Shaker] page. Any idea which was correct? I've never been an engineer myself. -Howbizr (talk) 20:29, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Either way, if you have a good guess (better than mine since I've never used one) what the CD is, please make the patch notes & the item page have the same number. See {{Patched}} if you're not familiar. -Howbizr (talk) 20:47, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
According to this forum thread the cooldown was 3 days in September. Searching the forums for "salt shaker" turns up other threads that also claim 3 days. So I'm gonna stick with that. -- ScratchMonkey (talk) 21:53, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Northern Cloth Scavenging[]

By now, it'll be running on memories, but you'd mentioned looking up cloth scavenging. How'd that go? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 23:28, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Vote[]

BTW, are you interested in voting on either of these issues? It seemed like maybe you were.

  1. Change categories with "World of Warcraft" to "WoW"? Vote here.
  2. Avoid repeating prefixes on sub-categories? Vote here.

Coprophilic quests[]

I find the concept, of wanting to find these by a category, amusing. However, the category did need a place in the hierarchy, so I've added it to Category:Quests as a default. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 18:46, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Your opinion is desired[]

Hey, we're pretty much settled on leaving Wikia, but I wanted to see if you had any input. Thanks. --PcjWowpedia wiki manager (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 00:28, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
