General BiographyEdit

Fathios, born into the Grimtotem Clan, is now a traveling Hunter. He usually declines to work with anyone but his pet, the legendary Wind Serpent Arikara. Armed with only his bow and axes, he has traveled through Mulgore, The Barrens, the Stonetalon Mountains, Ashenvale, Thousand Needles, Desolace and more.

Early Life and Departure from the Grimtotem ClanEdit

Fathios was raised in the twisted Grimtotem Clan. It was not his choice to join, but he had been bor into it, and regretted that every day as he grew up. He had no idea who his parents were, as he had become property of the tribe upon birth. However, at his coming-of-age ceremony, he had to attack an isolated Orc outpost in The Barrens. He told all of his fellow tribe members he would attempt it alone, but when he arrived at the camp he surrendered, met with the Orc captain there and went to the Horde tauren. The Grimtotems, Magatha Grimtotem foremost among them, were furious he had managed to escape their grasp. So far, however, the only times Magatha and Fathios have crossed paths is in Thunder Bluff, where she would have probably strangled him to death if they were not surrounded by guards and witnesses.

On the contrary, Cairne Bloodhoof accepted Fathios without question or prejudice, and told the rest of the tauren to do the same. He was especially fond of Morakah, a Tauren Hunter and Shaman who adopted Fathios. This began the next step of his life: his training as a Hunter.

Training in Mulgore and The BarrensEdit

Morakah began to teach Fathios the ways of the Hunter, showing him how to capture beasts and take on various Beast Aspects. He trained for a long time, by fighting against the Venture Company, quilboars and Palemane Gnolls. Late in this training, the pair went to The Barrens, and Fathios succeeded in taming a Sunscale Raptor, which he christened Kolgos. However, as he and Morakah made their way back to Mulgore, they were ambushed by Kolkar centaur. Fathios was knocked out by a centaur, and when he awoke, Kolgos was unconscious and Morakah lay on the ground, dead. Consumed by hatred, he declared his hatred for the Kolkar centaur and swore vengeance. He and Kolgos attacked a small Kolkar encampment, from which the ambush had come from. He slew every single centaur, and brought back Morakah's body as well as the head of one of the centaur. Cairne told Fathios that Morakah was old, and he hadn't had much time left anyway. He had only hoped that Fathios would be able to travel Kalimdor and continue his legacy as a Hunter. Cairne told him that the Kolkar who had killed Morakah dwelled in The Barrens, Thousand Needles and Desolace. Fathios first set out for The Barrens.

The Barrens and The Death LordsEdit

Fathios and Kolgos went on to the Crossroads in The Barrens. They rested there for some time before leaving to find the Kolkar and continure his journey. He did various quests for the Horde that dwelt in The Barrens, striking against Bristleback quilboars, harpies, and he even ventured into the depths of the Wailing Caverns. It was during this quest in the Wailing Caverns that a major point came in his life. He joined with an Orc Shaman to slay the Leaders of the Fang, and afterward the Orc informed him that he was part of a Warrior's Guild known as the Death Lords. He invited Fathios to join, and it was in this guild he stayed for the rest of his journey.

The hunt in AshenvaleEdit

When he had enough of the Barrens and constant inside jokes about a mysterious, powerful being known only as "Chuck Norris", Fathios gladly accepted the call to arms in Ashenvale. While he had not had any interaction at all with the Alliance before that point, he was immediately plunged into one of the most hotly contested areas in Kalimdor. He fought often in Warsong Gulch, among a few of his fellow guild members.

The Thousand Needles and the Spirit of VengeanceEdit

Eventually, Fathios took his leave of Ashenvale once given the option. He went to the Thousand Needles, where he found perhaps the only enemies he hated more than Kolkar or the Alliance: the Grimtotems. They fought him with particular zeal, wishing to gain Magatha's favor by killing the only tauren to escape them. In one of their battles, Kolgos was killed. He mourned his pet as a great ally and gave him a warrior's burial before setting out to train a new pet: the legendary Spirit of Vengeance, Arikara. He succeeded, and Arikara has remained hiss loyal partner ever since.

The Magram in DesolaceEdit

He and Arikara journeyed to their next destination: Desolace, the homeland of the hated Kolkar. He knew that the best way to penetrate the Kolkar's defenses (both for the good of the Horde and his revenge) was to ally with a rival tribe. He chose the Magram, eventually becoming friendly with them; they told him information about the Kolkar Khan's weaknesses. Using this information, he headed to Kolkar village to face the one who ordered Morakah's death.

The Khan of the KolkarEdit

Once there, he abandoned all stealth, slaying each and every centaur he saw. Eventually, to stop the slaughter, the Khan himself came forward to face Fathios alone. A long and vicious battle ensued, and both Fathios and Arikara nearly died. However, the Khan lowered his defenses for one seconds and Fathios got in a lethal shot. Finally, the one responsible for his father's death was dead.

Current activitiesEdit

His vengeance taken, Fathios turned his attention to the matters of the greater Horde. He currently is honing his skills in Feralas, and often battles in Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin. With a heavy heart, he released Arikara back into his home and tamed one of the great Elder Mistvale Gorillas of Stranglethorn Vale. He named the gorilla Fluffy (who, ironically, is not all that fluffy). He has reached 40 and gotten his mount (Gray Kodo for the win!) and now he is desperately trying to accumulate his past riches, His long term plans include getting an epic mount (preferably a Black War Raptor), getting to level 70, getting to level 80, being exalted with the Netherwing to get a Nether Drake mount, getting said mount, killing Illidan and Arthas, becoming a Death Knight and finding a way to get a Death Knight to keep its pet. Right now, he is not even close to achieving any of these.

Appearance and PersonalityEdit

Fathios is subdued, somewhat brooding to outsiders having suffered much in his life. However, once he gets to know someone he becomes quite warm to them. He hates the centaur (especially Kolkar) for killing is father, the Grimtotem for their evil deeds and killing Kolgos, and the Alliance because they are the Alliance. He does indeed have a sense of humor; sometimes, in order to irk the more experienced players, incites frenzied Barrens chat simply by saying "Chuck Norris" and sitting back to watch the chaos. He does have a few friends in the Alliance, surprisingly; the Night Elf Ardrianora (who saved him from insane Grimtotems in Thousand Needles. Some believe they are more than friends, but come on--a Tauren and a Night Elf?) and the Draenei brothers Velinor and Fellion (who begrudgingly joined him once fighting the Kolkar. Nowadays they typically correspond by mail, having become quite close friends). He is also good friends with Zalmonga, the Orc Shaman who fought with him in Wailing Caverns and brought him into Death Lords.
