Major Changes Needed

After looking at the page I am very disappointed. The NDA does not apply to the Wotlk Beta test so this page should be updated, even if we have to add "this may be changed prior to release" to everything. I personally have a Beta account and will begin collecting information immediatly.

Also, I agree with the above poster that this should be renamed to "Lake Wintergrasp" to reflect its real name. Mistiwaters (talk) 01:33, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Looking at the geography of Wintergrasp, I don't think its the same thign as the former Lake Wintergrasp... There is way too much soil, and plantlife to be a frozen lake. Also many of the names of the locations contain landform terms.Baggins (talk) 00:57, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Needs to be rewritten to reflect live servers

I started to take a whack at it, but much of the content reflects information about Wintergrasp as a zone that's coming soon, not as a live, playable zone.

Incorporating a guide

I wrote a guide to Wintergrasp PvP over at http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=14274387561&sid=1 and have campaigned, unsuccessfully, to get it stickied. It recently occured to me to consider incorporating the contents into this WoWWiki article, instead. Does anyone have any comments on it for changes and/or improvements before I go ahead and try? --Cogitatus (talk) 17:34, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

The article does need some fleshing out, but I'm assuming you want to add what's missing already. The main thing I'd say is that not everybody has a coordinates mod, so supplying them in addition to a "northwest", "Southeast" description would be needed.

The wiki already has some info about things like vehicles and such. I'm pondering working on those a bit. We might want to consider a separate page entirely for strategies. Folks that want to fight over that can do so there, but this page can stay more objective.

Sturdy Walls

Can anyone post exactly how much HP do the Wintergrasp walls have/how much siege damage is required to knock one down? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Izuriel (talk · contr).

The only way to actually have an accurate number, is by solo attacking a wall and adding up each attack you do to it, till it crumbles.... since no database site gathers health from objects. Sssssssssssssssssssssssss For Pony! (^Sssss/_Slithered) 22:04, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Goblin Workshops

The guide says that each side has two workshops that cannot be captured. Defense's are in the fortress, Offense's are in the south. This is no longer true. While the Defense's workshops still cannot be captured, the ones in the south are capturable. I wanted to update the page with this factoid, however I don't feel right about it just yet because I cannot figure out which patch that particular change was implemented in. Dregtal (talk)

The guide might be reflecting the Patch 3.2.0 changes because in 3.2.0 they are makeing it so that you can not capture any Siege Workshops anymore, and they are removing the following achievement.

Achievements

Would there be any objection if I were to include a table of achievements in this article related to Wintergrasp PvP? An example of this would be the achievement section on Isle of Conquest. Dregtal (talk)

Go for it. All you'll need to do is include {{[[Template::Player vs. Player achievements/Wintergrasp|:Player vs. Player achievements/Wintergrasp]]}} in a newly-created ==Achievements== section. Pages for some WG spells

I know we normally don't do this on wowwiki, but this seems like it might be an exception. Does it seem reasonable to make pages for Wintergrasp Victory, Wintergrasp Defeat, Tower Damaged, Tower Destroyed, Damaged Building Reward, and Intact Building Defender?  Howbizr^(t·c) 1:09 PM, 12 Aug 2009 (EDT)

Tower Time

From my experience when all three towers are destroyed you lose 12 minutes and not 15 minutes. Can anyone confirm? Dschiggs (talk) 15:42, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
