Origin of the Name[]

I'm looking at the end of "Night of the Dragon," and it seems that Deathwing got the idea for the name from voices in his head. Now, as interresting as the implications of Neltharion listening to voices again are, I realize this is not the place to discuss that. However, I do believe the origin of the name twilight dragonflight is quite worth mentioning on the page. Any objections? Meneldir (talk) 06:56, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

This may just have been my (mis)interpretation but i assumed the voices Deathwing was hearing was him eavesdroping on the events up above and heard iridi and co calling them that.Warthok Talk Contribs 07:15, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
I wasn't going to go into what we might have thought the voices were. That's a bit too much speculation and can and should be taken to the scrolls of lore forums. I just think that the origin of the name is worth mentioning in this article.Meneldir (talk) 14:41, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

if i remember correctly it was the Dranei Priestess that named the dragonflight first and everyone just went with it.--Icon AzgalorMaelstrong 14:51, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes exactly, that the point i think Meneldir missed.Warthok Talk Contribs 18:07, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Twilight Drakonaar[]

Is the Twilight Drakonaar a member? Though pre-Night of the Dragon/Wrath of the Lich King, he is a dragonkin with the word 'Twilight' in his name and an attack from every flight (See Wowhead). Was it an obscure preview?--SWM2448 22:29, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Funny you bring this up as i'm cataloging the members. It's a chromatic drakonid. It and Blackwing Drakonarr shares similarities to Broodlord, which was very clearly the intention in the design of the encounter in Arcatraz (to relive old fights) in this case stuff from Blackwing Lair. It has the Chromatic skin and it has abilities of all five flights. And it predated the Twilight dragonflight by quite some time, both in the narrative and in the real world (I don't think the Naruu have time traveling powers). It's a Chromatic as far as i'm concerned but of course i'm not an official source, so my opinion means squat and can't deny any speculation on anyones part. But yea it's a chromatic.Warthok Talk Contribs 03:47, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
The coincidence of the name still raises an eyebrow.--SWM2448 03:51, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
Personaly I believe it's just that: a coincidence. But i realize i don't have a leg to stand on. Well no...it might have been a launch off point.Warthok Talk Contribs 03:57, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
"Drakonaar" seems to be a term used only for two dangerous dragonkin in the Arcatraz, but no other dragonkin before that had "Twilight" in its name. Was the dragonflight named after him from an out-of-universe PoV? The twilight dragonflight seems to be a chromatic dragonflight 2.0, with some extra abilities. I think it makes sense that they would be fought in a similar way. Another problem I see is that Night of the Dragon took place long after the Arcatraz.--SWM2448 04:13, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
Could be. All we could really do is speculate. The main issue of course the timeline and how they would have to been captured long before the Naruu lost Tempest Keep to Kael'thas and no matter how much you stretch it i don't think it's plausible, especialy with the twilight flight being in it's infancy in NotD and we only ever saw them being true dragons (one would assume drakonids would come later since there was no meantion of them). And yea it did flash through my head about the twilight being chromatic 2.0 but even then Sinestra's main catalyst in the experiment was the Netherwing and she needed eggs or dragons (like Korialstarsz and Kalecgos) to infuse her creations with the powers of other flights. All other Timeline concerns aside i doubt the resources were there at the time.Warthok Talk Contribs 04:30, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Twilight realm[]

With the recent addition of Halion, I guess it is safe to conclude that so far all Twilight dragons share the ability to enter the twilight realm or at least open a portal into it. However, what exactly are twilight realms? Anyone have some idea of whats that? Gspbeetle (talk) 02:49, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Annihilated?[]

Are you 100% sure that not even one Twilight dragon remained? Neltharion (talk) 14:41, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

A few might have remained, but the fact remains that they won't be able to reproduce more unless they steal other dragonflight's eggs and corrupt them, which I doubt they would. ME SMASH!DoomeЯ-007 T RAWR C 15:47, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
