Minimap change?

I noticed that the minimap now only shows which section of i.e. Silvermoon City you are in, as to before you could see neighboring areas aswell. Can anyone verify this change? Picture from before, and after.--Alfuin (talk) 01:46, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

This is entirely unrelated, but I reported a bug on the official forums, regarding the pet minimap icon. According to someone, the "pet icon" on Minimaps has changed from the 15th to 16th position.

This is indeed a bug. The error is that the player pet's minimap blip was previously the 15th icon (2nd row, 7th column) in Interface\Minimap\OBJECTICONS.BLP. In patch 3.2, the WoW client is trying to use the 16th icon (2nd row, 8th column) in Interface\Minimap\OBJECTICONS.BLP which Blizzard left blank. Using Minimap:SetBlipTexture("file"), I'm able to use a set of blips that does work by using one of my own textures with an icon in that 16th position.

Faction change?

Faction Restrictions Lifted

While technically not part of the client, the change is important enough to be noted. Prior examples, hotfixes have been included in the Undocumented features notes, despite not being part of the client. Drakkenfyre (talk) 16:05, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Other Changes

Hoi hoi, fellas. Wands are back on Global Cooldown as of this patch. Fire Wands also have a new casting sound. Just thought you should know. User:Doc Lithius/realsig 00:02, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Also, Voidwalkers now learn [Consume Shadows] at Level 18 (as it used to via tomes). I know this because my Voidwalker did NOT have Consume Shadows BEFORE the patch went into effect. Fishing Hat

The [Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat] no longer has a 1-minute equip cooldown.

Argent Lance and the dailies that hand them out

I've confirmed that  [80 Daily] Battle Before The Citadel consumes the  [Argent Lance] a person may have when they turn in the daily. can anyone confirm either way whether  [80 Daily] At The Enemy's Gates/ [80 Daily] At The Enemy's Gates also consumes the Argent Lance when turned in?

It might be because I already had one in my bag before the patch, but it still sits there on its position in my second bag after turning in the Citadel daily 4 times now. Dunno about Horde Lances as I always delete that one after accepting the quest, for bag space reasons. Nathanyel (talk) 11:32, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

 [Argent Lance],  [Alliance Lance], and  [Horde Lance] are all Unique. when one of the jousting quests tries to give you another lance of a type you already have in inventory, the duplication fails (sometimes with an error message of "You already have one of those") Corwin MacGregor (talk) 21:29, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Unless patch 3.2.0 made a change, when ever I had recieved a  [Argent Lance] and did my Daily quests and turned them in I still had the item in my inventory. I use the addon Outfitter and told it to auto-wear the lance when I am in specific sub-zones because those areas are where the quests are. I usualy delete the lance, in particular when I am looking for the rare in the land (so that Outfitter can not auto-equip it). -- (M o r p hJames E. Rooks, Jr. aka: Morph

Ok, what I can confirm is that the "kill scourge in front of the Citadel by jousting" dailies (or at least Battle Before The Citadel) does not give you an Argent Lance, but you can get one at the Argent Camp where you find the steeds. The lances, whichever ones, are not deleted when you turn in the quests though, this has been like that before 3.2 already. I assume the person adding the info of it being consumed simply did not obtain one, did the daily with the faction lance, and then turned it in, went into TotCh and couldn't find the Argent Lance. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 02:06, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

425 Jewelcrafter

I got it at 425, hence the change i put in. Should be noted, the writ starts a quest that requires 400 jewelrycrafting, however i was at 425, can't confirm you can do it all the way down to 400 - Moraganth - Moraganth (talk) 11:50, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Oh, i can help a little on that too... my alt is my JC, and was only 65 when she got the mail... So the lower confirmed minimums are 425 skill, lvl 65. (could be all the way down to the quest requirement listed on the item of 400)- Moraganth (talk) 04:11, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Second thought: did your guildie ever purchase a Dragon's Eye? I think I heard this quest was meant to be a compensation for the prismatic change/removal, so it might be connected to having purchased/owning a cut Eye. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 10:02, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Mage AOE haste change

It appears that the channeled casting time for [Blizzard] is now affected by the mage's haste.

Troll Racial: Berserking

The tooltip now reads "Increases your attack speed by 20% for 10 seconds". Confirmed it still applies to spells. I haven't had a chance to test if it's still affected by health. Not sure if this is a change or a bug. Would make sense, though, since in a good fight I never drop below 80%, so I'm really only getting 10% most of the time... - Exawatt (talk) 12:37, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Pets

The [Curious Wolvar Pup] and [Curious Oracle Hatchling] are listed as Children's Week, but they are not related to the world event. They are "orphans," yes, but the quest lines and pets are not part of the event (which hasn't happened yet), and you can get no achievements with them. Also, I'm assuming Kirin Tor rep applies to the [Obsidian Hatchling], since I bought mine for 40 at exalted... (Not exactly sure how to edit that into the article.) - Exawatt (talk) 21:01, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Blizzard has pretty much said (see official patch notes) that Dalaran Children's Week was released late because it wasn't ready for May. So next year, these quests/pets will be during the normal week. And I also bought for pet with rep applied; we just usually list the price as neutral reputation.  Howbizr^(t·c) 7:02 PM, 9 Aug 2009 (EDT)

Ulduar Vehicle Changes

The Salvaged Demolisher Passenger's "Anti-Air Rocket" has a higher maximum angle (close to if not 90°), up from (my guess of about) 75°. I'm now able to shoot down those elusive pyrite canisters that are directly above me. I think the "Mortar" shot angle may have also been raised, but I can't think of any reason to aim that high, and don't think I ever did pre-3.2.
