Go Links[]

I suspect adding 'go to' links at the bottom of pages isn't going to be a very good idea (they're great for index pages to drive down into other things, or when appropriate in the middle of text, but the set at the bottom seem wrong). Do any of the Wiki style guides have anything to say about this? -- Flickering 13:00, 4 Jan 2005 (EST)

I don't know what the style guides would say - this is my first Wiki. I added some links because I felt a lot of pages were semi dead-ends, where after reading it there was no obvious path to follow. I feel it helps people get to know where the key pages are. Once everything is fully categorized they'll be a lot less useful as the category indices can be used to navigate around specific areas, but I think they have a use for now. I agree they don't look great, maybe there's a better way to present them. They also give a way out for people visiting from external pages, without forcing them out to the main page which can be a long way removed from the page they came in to see. Again - fully categorizing everything would fix this. -- Goldark 18:24, 4 Jan 2005 (EST)
I'm going to have to agree with Flickering, it's bad practice in a wiki in general to simply add navigation links. Instead, categories (which have been added I notice) and dilligent internal linking is prefered. I've integrated 2 more internal links, and removed the Go links at the bottom. --Quadir 22:37, 29 March 2006 (EST)

Removed "Vortex-LuaIDE - Outra IDE para Lua gratuita, mas em Português!" as it is a dead end. --Quadir 22:37, 29 March 2006 (EST)
