I always wondered the same. Then something occured to me a while back that made it all make sense...and now i can't remember what that was.Warthok Talk Contribs 18:54, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

I believe he's supposed to be either a Night Elf or Tauren based upon the text of Killmaim; "When Dethorin found his lady, Allurana in the arms of another, he went to the Barrens and cried out." Since the Orcs and Humans had just arrived, its unlikely that the artifact could've been created by any other race.
