If anyone has been a raider since the old days, I'd be curious to know when and where the "Council" term originated. According to this page, the first fight literally known as a Council was the Illidari Council, which was quite late in the BC expansion. Was there no term for a multi-boss fight before that? - Jerodast (talk) 17:10, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Update[]

Maybe this should be updated with council encounters from dungeons? Like Priestess Delrissa and her cronies, the arena fight in BRD, the 7 dark iron thanes, etc. Xporc (talk) 20:56, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

Currently, one of the main focus points seem to be the tier, but I don't see why there couldn't be a section for dungeons aswell. The article could probably be phrased differently in some ways. Right now, as an example, the article explains the term as a "raid encounter" where the emphasis on raid probably isn't strictly needed. PeterWind (talk) 21:44, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
