Separate them for better control?Edit
The tactic posted looks reasonable. But from the Abilities listings, it would look prudent to have no more than an Assaulter on each tank.
Separating the Invokers certainly assists the melee in staying in range, but it doesn't look much more important than that.
And the Commander's Rally Shout seems quite dangerous if you don't even out the number of mobs tanked by each tank. That said, the Mortal Strike would suggest that he be tanked by whichever tank had the least number of mobs, which would mean the first mob to taunt out would be the Commander and then an Assaulter as soon as is practical. Anymore beyond that is a matter of preference.
- Hibernate does work. Best have some druid other than a tree do it, though, as no hit leads to misses and non-full duration hibes. A Boomkin would be best due to spell hit capping. Simply have the tank drop an AoE in front of the Sleeper to pull the charging mobs off the hibe agro.
- With regards to separation, the OT can taunt more than just the one mob as mentioned in the strat. This also further increases the survivability of your tanks should the Commander get loose and fire off a Rallying Cry. Each invoker should have an interrupt on short CD (no more than 10 sec) assigned to it. The control of the knockback makes for a fast take down by the DPS.
