500 years vs. Millenium

In the vs. Twisting Nether section it states that Aegwynn fought the demons "For 500 years following her becoming a Guardian" for "a millenium". Isn't a millenium a thousand years? Did she fight them for a 1000 years or 500?--Lijakaca 17:58, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Current Guise

Can anyone reference the fact that she is, in fact, Pained? I've never heard this before, I'd like to know where you got your info.

Sign your posts, please. I have no idea where that came from (disturbing, since I usually watch these things like a hawk). Since Pained is associated with Jaina and is an elf, I guess it's logical to assume.--Ragestorm 21:40, 13 December 2006 (EST)

In the screenshot of Pained, it doesn't show an old elf. Now lets assume that Pained is Aegwynn. Shouldn't Aegwynn be white haired and old? It says in Warcraft: The Last Guardian Book 2, "Khadgar saw that she was much older now. Her blond hair was now white, and there were tight wrinkles around her eyes and mouth." This was back before Stormwind fell to the orcs. She may be a powerful mage, but now she is over a thousand years old and has given up her power to give to Medivh. She has almost died three times due to using what's left of her power. Shouldn't she be dead from old age or exhaustion?--User:Evilsniper 21:47, 12 March 2007

Actually, Aegwynn is under a thousand years old. Havine been kept in perfect health by magic, and maintaining a healhty lifestyle after the loss of said magic, she could easily keep going (hence, the constitution of an elf). I personally doubt the connection, considering that, while Aegwynn could easily be in perfect health and have anywhere between another decade or another century, she probably wouldn't be combat-ready as Pained is, unless she was shapeshifted into a young night elf by Jaina or the druids. Still, the speculation is valid.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 08:10, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Last I heard she's Tabetha in dustwallow marsh, seeing she lives in exile there and has control over magic. - Schoon

Aegwynn doesn't have as much magic as Tabetha does anymore. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 15:54, 17 March 2007 (EDT)
What makes you say that? god knows what happend in the time between the time she lost her magic and WoW, I have a harder time believing Pained = Aegwynn tbh - Schoon
It's only a year or so between CoH and WoW. Prior to the Zmodlor incident, she had essentially no magic. Maybe she did gain enough magic and is Tabetha, I don't know, but the point is that Pained is A) always with Jaina and B) has the constitution of an elf. That's more evidence than some random witch in Dustwallow. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 08:10, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
I disagree with your assessment Ragestorm. Tabetha makes much more sense to be Aegwynn than Pained does. Tabetha has more of the mannerism of Aegwynn than most realize, she still is somewhat secluded, she has her garden, and she understands demons and how to deal with them as seen by the quest that is given to Warlocks to clear a demonic presense from an item. Her location also lends herself to being able to advice Jaina while having a low profile. It's obvious from the quests and lore that Mages and Warlocks encounter involving Tabetha that she is/was quite powerful, which fits with Aegwynn. The other problem with going with Pained is Pained is way too obvious to play the role that Aegwynn is wishing to play. I see Pained more likely being assigned to Jaina after the battle of Mt Hyjal by either Malfurion or Tyrande to act as a guardian and ambassador to the Humans of Theramore. --Tahapenes 13:15, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
Now this is more like it. Personally, I don't think she in the game at all, guise or no, and your assessment of Pained is probably much closer to the truth. However, Tabetha is seen to work very powerful and complicated magic; the one thing that CoH is clear about is that she can no longer work magic directly, and has no more or less magic than any living being. Admittedly, it's theoretically possible that she could have somehow regained enough magic, but that's unlikely, considering it took her 25 years to buld up the magic to raise Medivh. Even with Jaina's aid, she probably wouldn't be as powerful as Tabetha.
If you want to add a paragraph on Tabetha, be my guest. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 13:46, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
Sorry for not being a man of words ^.^ I'm a thinker not a writer ;) - Schoon

I think I'll toss up the simple explanation that perhaps she isn't even in the game at all, as ragestorm mentioned. Also "pained" should not redirect to Aegwynn, :p... She should be on her own own NPC page, unless some source specifically says she is Aegwynn.Baggins 18:04, 13 April 2007 (EDT)

I agree.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 14:53, 14 April 2007 (EDT)

Image of Aegwynn

There is an official image of Aegwynn in Alliance Player's Guide, unfortunately its just a shot of her back as she fights the Avatar/Sargeras. But I'll upload the image later anyways.Baggins 15:03, 14 April 2007 (EDT)
