Spirit beasts are a rare class of creatures found throughout the regions of Azeroth. Not much is really known about them and there are currently only 9 that are known to exist: 
Loque’nahak of Sholazar Basin, Gondria of Zul'Drak, Skoll of Storm Peaks, Arcturis of Grizzly Hills, Ghostcrawler (mob) of Vashj'ir's Abyssal Depths, Karoma of the Twilight Highlands, Ban'thalos, Magria and Ankha of Mount Hyjal.
Only Hunters with the 31 talent point Beast Mastery can tame these exotic beasts.
Patch changes
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Ability changes.
- [Roar of Courage] added. [Spirit Strike] replaced by [Spirit Mend]. Prowl renamed to [Spirit Walk].
- Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Bonuses equalized.
- Damage had a +10% bonus and now has +5% bonus.
Armor had no bonus and now has a +5% bonus.
- Damage had a +10% bonus and now has +5% bonus.
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Become tameable.
- Tameable, but only exists in Northrend.
