Joseph the Insane is a member of the Scarlet Crusade. When he realized it was attacking the living with the dead he started a mutiny and now enlists Alliance help to defeat the actual leaders. His title indicates he is clearly insane, yet the Scarlet Renegades follow him and Alliance adventurers are glad to give him the Monastery. He will begin his mutiny when Cataclysm starts, replacing Raleigh the Devout as the Alliance quest giver for that instance. He is as hostile to the Horde as the current leadership of the Scarlet Monastery, so even if he becomes leader of the Scarlet Crusade there will be very little difference, especially as he shares his predecessors insanity.
