Silvermoon Remnant

Overview

The Silvermoon Remnant is a collection of High Elves that remained loyal to the Alliance after the destruction of Quel'Thalas and the splintering of the Blood Elves from the Alliance. Not all High Elves are part of the Remnant, and it's members are scattered throughout Azeroth. Many travelled across the Great Sea with Jaina Proudmoore to Kalimdor and helped her build the island city of Theramore. They are themselves searching to found a city to call their own on Kalimdor.

It is possible that Ranger Lord Hawkspear is the default leader of the Silvermoon Remnant, being the highest ranking High Elf known on Azeroth. Whether or not certain High Elves are part of the Remnant is a matter of controversy.

Known concentrations of the Silvermoon Remnant:

• Zul'Aman Region,[1]
• Theramore Isle, Dustwallow Marsh.

Possible concentrations:

• Quel'Lithien Lodge, Eastern Plaguelands,
• Quel'Danil Lodge, Hinterlands,
• Ashenvale Forest.

Faction

It had been mentioned in the Patch 1.6.0[2] that the Silvermoon Remnants would be come a faction, however before the patch was implemented Blizzard updated the Patch to 1.6.1, where the new faction was removed for no explained reason.

High Elves now have their own distinct faction -- "Silvermoon Remnant". This faction is allied with the Alliance and is at war with the Horde. Not all High Elves are a part of this faction. - Patch 1.6.0 Notes
