Despite the fact that it is marked as a raid, this quest can be completed by a well-organized five-player group at around level 60. It can be completed at level 70 with only two other players, one watching each spawn location. Some people have reported this to be soloable.

Place the satchel by the well in the town square. There are three spawn points: north of town along the path, due east of the first by about 50 yards, and east of town up its path in the foothills. {{NPC||Marauding Corpse}}s will start spawning at the three spawn points. 2:30–3 minutes in, {{NPC||Davil Lightfire}} will spawn, followed shortly by {{NPC||Servant of Horgus||Servants of Horgus}}. Keep him protected. 3:30–4 minutes in, {{NPC||Horgus the Ravager}} himself will spawn. Kill him. A short while later, Redpath will spawn as Lightfire fades away. He will visit each of the three spawn points in turn. Elite {{NPC||Bloodletter}}s will start spawning at this point. Once he gets back to the town square he'll run to the first spawn point on the path, where, nine minutes in to the event, {{NPC||Marduk the Black}} will ride in, kill Redpath and raise him as {{NPC||Redpath the Corrupted}}. *While soloing, it can be useful to escape if things are going badly. Using this, in combination with a Piercing Howl (Talent Shout), can buy the warrior enough of a head start to run clear of the fight, but this is best done in outdoor environment. In enclosed spaces, such as mines, caves or Instances, it usually causes more trouble than it saves. Also, Intimidating Shout can be used on a single target to stun them for 8 seconds. Any damage will break the stun so use Intimidating Shout (preferably while backing out of melee range), target yourself and bandage. You can use about 80% of a bandage this way.

This quest is part of the Rewriting the Battle of Darrowshire quest chain.

Objectives

Place the Inv misc bag 10 [Relic Bundle] at the Darrowshire town square.

Prevent Davil Lightfire's death until the death of Horgus.

Prevent Captain Redpath's death until Redpath the Corrupted appears.

Defeat Redpath the Corrupted.

Speak with the spirit of Joseph Redpath when he appears at the town square, then speak with Pamela at her home.

Description

Now, <name>, you will take part in battle of Darrowshire, and you will save Joseph Redpath.

Place this relic bundle in the Darrowshire town square, and the spirits of Darrowshire will rise. Join their battle and assure that these two things come to pass: Davil must survive beyond the death of Horgus, and Redpath must survive to be corrupted, then defeated.
