General
Shield in World of Warcraft is an item that can be used to prevent damage as armor, block attacks, and be equipped in off-hand slot. A shield cannot be used with weapons that require 2 hands as it fills the Off Hand slot. A shield contributes to the Armor more than any other items of armour. |Warriors, |Paladins, and |Shamans are the only classes that may use shields.
