Hunters can learn this ability at level 10 from a hunter trainer for 6s 80c.

Tips and tactics

  • You can also rid yourself of your pet by telling it to Stay and then walk you of range.
  • Dismiss Pet can be used to save your pet from death.
  • You may want to use Dismiss Pet to prevent it from drawing aggro in certain areas, especially if you pet's level is lower than yours.

Patch changes

Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Casting time reduced from 5 seconds to 2 seconds. Ranged increased from 10 yds to unlimited. This ability no longer causes Happiness loss.
