Thunderhorn[]

Introduction[]

Thunderhorn is a PvE server.

Thunderhorn is one of original servers that went live when World of Warcraft was launched in Europe.

Lore behind name: Thunderhorn[]

A wise and benevolent Chieftain of the Thunderhorn Tauren, Marn Thunderhorn had become, in his life, a very experienced and seasoned warrior. He was also a valuable tactician and strategist, known for his extensive knowledge of the foes he faced. Leaders of armies throughout the world flocked to Marn, to learn more of the art of warcraft and warfare, and Marn was kind enough to allow them to pore over his extensive library. Near the end of his career, however, satisfied with his accomplishments, he passed the torch to his good friend, Mojo Stormstout, a Pandaren.

Thunderhorn Forum

The Banning Spree of 2007[]

The official Thunderhorn forum received an unusual amount of attention from Blizzard CM's near the end of January and continuing into February 2007. The most well-known forum spammer Luduie was permentantly banned by Vaneras for untold amounts of spam on the Bronze Dragonflight forum - a new server that had just closed its free-transfer from Thunderhron - there was then a large spam-retaliation to this action and the forum recieved numerous posts from Thundgot and Vaneras regarding the spam. The forum visiters then retaliated with posts regarding the incredible amount of lag on the server. More bans insued. But the record holder in thread replies Angelike keeps going strong. She seems to be a more experienced spammer, and knows how to make her posts without getting banned.

The future has shown the CM's lack of acceptance to the forum "spammers". Now with the recent bans of the well-known spammers; Falck, Leathercap, "Pap" and Dus.

CM's seem now to have a greater understanding for the community culture. With threads such as "Friday Spam", from the community-loved Healya, being a weekly ritual which they seem to let be.

Thunderhorn as a community experiences rotten apples as any other spammer. There is someone abusing the report system to try and lock posts, which is OK according to the terms of use. His or her tactic seems to have fallen to the ground though, as the CM Aeus has replied in one of the [SPAM]thread; "Yes, I can see who reported the posts for spam. I'm not going to out them, but I'd appreciate if they wouldn't use the report function for this, since people here seem to enjoy the posts."

Guilds on the Server Thunderhorn:[]

Alliance Crest Alliance[]

Horde Crest Horde[]

The Horde are far outnumbered by Alliance on this server and, as such, there are less Horde raiding guilds than Alliance.

Other Notes[]

The population of this realm have turned to 1:1.3 in favour of horde so consider that if you are going to Thunderhorn
