Oceanic servers

Template:Server

Barthilas came online 9th of June 2006 at 4:59pm GMT+10. Barthilas is the third Oceanic PvP realm, after Frostmourne in November 2005 and Jubei'Thos in January 2006, but before Thaurissan which opened November 2006 as a free transfer realm. Server time is set to GMT+10 (AEDT) or GMT+11 during Australia's Summer time, and most guilds raid at around 8PM server time. Barthilas is eligible as a destination realm for PCTs.

Being a late generation server and from the 3rd round of Oceanic servers most of the players on Barthilas are playing their 2nd character, with many playing their 3rd, 4th or even 5th character on this server. This means that the dynamics on Barthilas are quite different to other Oceanic realms.

Barthilas was named after a Paladin who fell to the Scourge, and "Magistrate Barthilas" is a sub-boss in (Undead) Stratholme. "Magistrate Barthilas" is known primarily as the boss that drops the [Red Pimp Hat].

Casual guilds, Leveling Guilds, and guilds raiding pre-TBC

Alliance Crest Alliance

  • Õççä Pïrãtés, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=538jnrN4TE4) are looking for new Pirates to join the crew! We are a friendly, casual guild and we basically serve our members! Most people who join our guild say it is the best they have been in, and we strive to uphold this friendly community player-base. We are currently assisting players level efficiently by running instances - we believe we are one of the fastest growing guilds on Barthilas as we recruited over 100 members in our first four days of operation. With our large amount of higher level players we look forward to the advent of raiding, in a fun, casual way. We have 4 guild bank tabs, each filled with many valuable items such as BoE gear, mats pots and even gems. We also host fun events for the occasional break. Check the website for more details and to applu. Cheers. :D
  • From The Ashes (forums). TBC New Guild. No published progression.
  • NeighborhooD (website) are a bunch of great people wanting to have a good time. Building a strong community and comrardery within the guild is very important to us and we are looking forward to the good times to come. As relatively new guild we currently don't have a lot of members but are growing fast and raiding already!
  • Locked Out Guild (website)
  • Ante Bellum (website) Ante Bellum was formed by ex members of Omnipotence.
  • The Price is Wrong (website) Our goal is to maintain a casual and mature atmosphere; to provide a end-game progression avenue for our level 70's; and to facilitate a fun levelling experience for all members.
  • CORE (website) are a PVE Based Raiding Guild on Barthilas. Our Objective is to Progress as Fast as we can through end game content before the release of the new expansion .
  • Shadow Ravens (website) was originally formed by Dazalar & Divinechaos after the collapse of Eon Rose. We are a PvE raiding guild with our current aim's and objectives focused on 25 man content and getting together a strong guild of friendly people to reign havoc in the new expansion Wrath of the Lich King.
  • Controlled Kaos(website) A tidy guild full of good-looking people who probably play too much WoW.

Realm First Achievements

A dedicated look and a little information on how these achievements came to be. (Decending order of what and when it was achieved)

  • Fishing - Hessa (Shaman,Obsolete - 11/13/2008)- Our realms first Grand master fisherman Rushed to be the first doing nothing else Sachicocoa hot on his heels.
  • Skinning - Picaro (Hunter,Intrepids - 11/13/2008) - The only real achievement that existed in Intrepids.
  • Herbalism - Rooness (Druid,Guildless - 11/14/2008) - Now nobody knows this guy he quit playing Somewhere near june of 2009 Yet congratulations to the holder of this realm first a true show to the high end guild leaders that never got a realm first(You went for the wrong one).
  • Mining - Vicioushorn (Warrior,Corrupted - 11/14/2008) - They say his tauren hooves could carry him to many many places... this guy worked for a very long amount of time on mining no veins in sight during the releases first few days this was dedication.
  • First Aid - Noobganker (Hunter,Vitare - 11/15/2008) - They say the amount of cloth he paid for had fueled peoples' wallets into wrath. The farm for that book was probably not the simplest part of his life but the hardest challenge in it all...2 other players set out to conquer the cloth but only one left standing.
  • Level 80,Night elf,Priest - Mephisston (Night Elf,Exiztence - 11/15/2008) - /Who was either broken or this guy was online 24/7 Wonderful dedication striving to be the master of Feats of Strength.Needless to say the master has yet to be taken down congratulations.
  • Druid - Gaeatwo (Druid,Gigantor - 11/15/2008) - Another example of sleepless attempt but still Gaea not quite able to make it to the top by a hair. Torpy was cheering for him but it wasn't enough... The result of being Gaeatwo = Number 2.
  • Alchemy - Doomlorde (Mage,Schism - 11/16/2008) - Failed attempt at Herbalism caused this mage to drop his leveling and run through Icecrown using invisibility and polymorph as his only means of survival Congratulations. A side word to be added Thanks for this achievement actually goes to a rogue Marnie who helped Doomlorde attain his gems to transmute while he farmed flasks.
  • Human,Paladin - Abby (Paladin,Gigantor - 11/16/2008) - All that can be said is this guys a Draenai now so i'm fairly certain people are confused about what it is exactly he's doing with that human achievement. Regardless Grats Abbylicious.
  • Warrior,Dwarf - Torpy (Warrior,Gigantor - 11/16/2008) - Torpy well known as the main man tank. Climbing the mountain that is Level 80 as dps. Congratulations on perhaps the hardest struggle there is trying to be something your not. Nevertheless remains the main man tank. Guess we'll see your 2 hander in arena or Cataclysm.
  • Mage,Forsaken - Aigu (Mage,Kopitiam - 11/16/2008) - The blizzard cast by this mage was either to far in range or just mystically big.Friday our realms first gnome went for this achievement so did a member of blue label current name unknown each mage picked there mark and went for it head to head in a aoe race to the top. Grats Aigu for probably just having more haste than the other guys.
  • Blood Elf - (Paladin,Blue label - 11/16/2008) - This currently Isolated ex retadin is apparently ethugging in his new guild <ethug>. The effort put in to be the first of your race to 80 is a big claim to fame but most people know what this ret pally did.He thought i'm o/p for a short while I should pvp and kill people who i'm a higher level than. It worked einstein but Abby beat you because whenever you buble hearthed your hearthstone never quite came up in time.
  • Druid - Luste (Druid,Severance - 11/16/2008) - Luste was just too busy missing bear form. Othewise the current champion of tauren can be seen grazing grasss in mulgore for his next race against time to the top of the list in tree hugger history against gaea who by the way doesn't seem to be participating GO LUSTE GO!!!.
  • Draenai - Rel (Priest,Gigantor - 11/16/2008) - Well not much to say here Rel realised that Meph had done what he had forgotten to do and that was stock up on cocktails of V and redbull mixed with sugar pills. However Rel was to busy trying to build his beloved Gigantor back up. Besides shouldn't Abby technically have this achievement now.
  • Engineer - Kurebor (Hunter,Schism - 11/16/2008) - Kurebor was leveling at a perfectly good rate to be a level 80 before most people. Needless to say that dastardly no good Doomlorde inspired him to go against Mimbs mighty words of wisdom 'I want a realm first so get to 80 so you can carry my DPS and get me one in a instance'. Grats Kurebor the master of gnomish army knife spam.
