General information
−
A Shaman weapon buff temporarily gives a shaman's weapons additional properties for thirty minutes.

  +
Initial aims;
−
Weapon buffs can cause an additional effect to occur on successful melee attacks or can have steady effects. These effects vary greatly, from doing additional damage or healing to causing high amounts of threat or slowing the target. In addition, all weapon buffs have an "unleash" effect that is activated through using the Unleash Elements ability. Unleashing a buff does not consume it. Enhancement shaman who are Dual Wielding will activate the effects of both weapons simultaneously. Note that although the weapon buffs are learned from Level 10 upwards, the Unleash Elements ability is only learned at level 81.

:::How about doing something similar to Alchemy recipes? In that, there is a page Alchemy recipes/Journeyman which is then transcluded (but initially hidden via Ajax, to not take up too much space). Following this approach, all of the information would still be presented to the user on Companion, but the page would be much less cluttered and the table(s) would be stored in a subpage. Alternatively, you could go ahead with your gallery, and still follow this approach to break down the gallery into transcludes. [[User:Ddcorkum|D.D. ::::I like that idea - I'm going to play around with a few ideas - see what works best. Although by moving the gallery to a seperate page (after all most people who go to the page are not after images but info on how /where to obtain a certain pet) table-izing the content and removing duplication we will cut the page to half if not 2/3 of it's current size and make the info more accessible. Forums: Village pump → Update to Companion page

Updating Companions - I'm sure we can all agree this page need's some major work, and ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! I'll initially be working on the page Here.

Initial aims;

  • Place the gallery on a separate page here Gallery of Companions
  • Remove duplication, presently many pets are listed then re-listed under the consolidated table
  • List pets under a group of coherent charts, possibly;
    • WoW classic
    • Burning Crusade
    • WotLK
    • Cataclysm
    • Other sources

or

    • Obtainable through quests
    • Obtainable through vendors
    • Obtainable through achievements
    • Obtainable through guild achievements
    • Obtainable through World events
    • Obtainable from other sources

Either method would of course use (possibly) the other method to sub categorize, I'm leaning toward the second my-self.

Anyway as always input is greatly appreciated.
