Gwen Armstead is the mayor of the town of Duskhaven in Gilneas. She is involved in several quests throughout the worgen starting experience. First seen in the Merchant Square of Gilneas City as the worgen attack, she tries to salvage some supplies. She admits that she doesn't really know how to use her rapier weapon, but figures standing around with it looking menacing will make the worgen go elsewhere. She later relocates to the Military District.

After the evacuation of Gilneas City, she goes to Duskhaven where she is the mayor. Ultimately, though, even Duskhaven must be evacuated when the Forsaken attack, and Gwen travels to Stormglen where she starts taking care of the other evacuees.

Following those events and the mass exodus from Gilneas, she resides at the Howling Oak in the night elf capital of Darnassus, holding down the fort while King Genn Greymane is in Stormwind. When spoken to, she allows Worgen players to view the cinematic which lead to their arrival at Duskhaven.

In Darnassus she offers the chance for Worgen players to see the cutscene that lead to them arriving at Duskhaven. Goblin players can see the cutscene that brought them to the Lost Isles by talking to Ace.
She is one of the NPCs that can fight alongside the player in [85] The Protectors of Hyjal, where she seems to have learned to her use her sword, able to use [Rend], Focused Strike and Rapier Pierce. She rides a [Swift Gray Steed] and a [Armored Snowy Gryphon].
