The Rams of Loch Modan flourish in the cold, just like their burly Dwarven riders.TCGSW 190
Swift Ram TCG

Ram mounts are almost exclusively Alliance only mounts.

Distinguished by their shaggy coats and massive horns, Barak Tor’ol mountain rams are simple yet proud animals whose fearlessness is matched only by that of their dwarven masters. What these good-natured animals lack in ferocity, they compensate with uncommon durability and strength. Recently, other types of rams have been discovered in the frigid continent of Northrend, yet the amicable species native to Dun Morogh and its surrounding regions is still preferred by Ironforge’s dwarves.[1]

Faction mounts: Apprentice Edit

These mounts give a 60% speed increase on land. You can purchase these mounts from Official alliance mini-icon  Veron Amberstill <Ram Breeder> at Amberstill Ranch, east of Ironforge in northern Dun Morogh so long as your character has riding skill of 75 (obtainable at level 20). If you are playing as any race other than a Dwarf, you will also need to have Exalted reputation with Ironforge.

Faction mounts: Journeyman Edit

These mounts give a 100% speed increase on land. You can purchase these mounts from Official alliance mini-icon  Veron Amberstill <Ram Breeder> at Amberstill Ranch, east of Ironforge in northern Dun Morogh so long as your character has riding skill of 150 (obtainable at level 40), and are restricted similarly to the apprentice mounts above.

Other Ram mounts Edit

PvP Rams Edit

The Black War Ram is available from Official alliance mini-icon  Lieutenant Karter <Mount Merchant> in Stormwind for Honor points. You do not need to have exalted reputation with Ironforge to purchase it.

The Stormpike Battle Charger is available from Gaelden Hammersmith in Alterac Valley and Thanthaldis Snowgleam in Alterac Mountains for Honor points.

Argent Tournament Edit

These following Rams can be purchased from the Argent Tournament. You must have completed Money achievement Champion of Ironforge or be a dwarf to gain access to this quartermaster.

Brewfest Rams Edit

During Brewfest 2007, an ["Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp] could be purchased from Official alliance mini-iconBelbi Quikswitch in Dun Morogh or Official horde mini-iconBlix Fixwidget in Durotar for 600 Inv misc note 03, which allowed players to buy a [Brewfest Ram] (normal) or [Swift Brewfest Ram] (epic). This mount is ridable by all races and factions, including tauren.

The epic version now drops from Coren Direbrew in Blackrock Depths during the annual Brewfest event. The slower mount was still obtainable in 2009, but only to those who had purchased the hand stamp in 2007.

Discontinued and exceptional mounts Edit

These used the old Ram mounts graphics, and can be exchanged for the newer variety if desired.
