Kellik is the younger of twin goblin brothers who worked as engineers for the House of Whitehair during the war against the Scourge. When his elder brother, Kitrik, left to create the Grand Army of Kezan, Kellik remained in the Whitehairs' service, and became the first non-sin'dorei to become an officer in the House Guard.

Biography

The younger sibling by four minutes, Kellik was born on Kezan to merchants in the Bilgewater Cartel; after growing to adulthood, he and Kitrik left together for Ratchet, where they worked incognito for the Bilgewaters' greatest rivals, the Steamwheedle Cartel. They became skilled engineers, as most goblins are; Kellik's specialization was in explosives, typically for a goblin, while Kitrik preferred to construct strange mechanical devices. Shortly after the war in Outland, the House of Whitehair - preparing to join the Horde Expedition to fight the Lich King - offered a contract to both brothers, after receiving a referral from Chief Engineer Gazlowe, master of Ratchet. They agreed, and departed onboard the Kal'manis' Legacy - the Whitehairs' personal frigate - for Northrend, where they served as demolisher engineers for Ordevaas Portalseeker, the family patriarch.

After his elder brother decided to quit Northrend and return home to Kezan, Kellik remained loyal to his employers, and served at the side of Ordevaas and his chief general, Taeril'hane Ketiron, who became patriarch after Ordevaas' death. Under the latter, Kellik trained to be a warrior as the war in Northrend died down, his determination - despite his diminutive size - and his manic, cheerful demeanor earning him the respect of the House Guard and of its general, Ketiron's wife Areinnye Scourgebane.

Just after the Shattering, Master Ketiron gave him a captaincy in the House Guard in recognition of his loyalty and dedication, and named him commander of his Phalanx - a House Guard detachment charged with their patriarch's protection. Upon the inclusion of the Bilgewater Cartel - to which Kellik and Kitrik belong - into the Horde, Kellik became the House of Whitehair's personal envoy.
