Quest: A Final Blow

Zone: Felwood
From: Greta Mosshoof
Obtained at level 48

Quest Detail:

Kill Moora and Salia, and bring Shadow Lord Fel'dan's Head to Greta Mosshoof in Felwood.

Unfortunately, I see the only way to stop this threat to Felwood is a frontal attack. There are no other ways into Shadow Hold, and I have no means to teleport you inside. The straight path down to the bottom is the only way... and I also know who you should seek out. His name is Fel'dan... Shadow Lord Fel'dan. He is the mortal in power down below... he is the head of the serpent. Kill him and his two succubus servants and return to me. Fel'dan is the one making pacts with the Legion. He must be stopped.

Rewards
Brantwood Sash
or
Blight Leather Gloves
or
Gearforge Girdle
and
9300xp

Author's Comment

I have run this quest on 4 characters now. Pali, Rogue, Hunter & Priest. Each time I was in a group of two and was around lvl 52/53. It is not terribly difficult provided you kill Lord Fel'dan first. If you want to solo this quest, I would recommend you be around lvl 55/56. Lord Fel'dan is lvl 57 and Moora and Salia are lvl 53 & 54. It can be and has been done by lower lvls with some forethought. Feel free to visit this link to see those lower than 55 brag on their 1337 Final Blow boss killing skills.

Stealthers have the advantage of skipping all the mobs on the way down to the room where these 3 wait but lose out on the xp on the way there by not killing the mobs should they decide to skip over them. I like to kill my way down due to the coin, cloth and a couple of decent blues I have gotten along the way. That puts this quest's xp yield well over 10K.

Greta Mosshoof is in southern Felwood at Emerald Sanctuary. The quest is given once you finish "Dousing The Flames Of Protection", also from Greta.

The rewards are some decent green items which, by this lvl, are probably not up to par with the blues you now have from the instances you have been running or any decent purchases from the AH. They do sell for a couple of gold each so take this quest for the xp and a small amount of cash as your motivation.

Above all, enjoy. This is a fun and rewarding quest.
