The polar bear, or Arctic bear, is a species of bear with a white pelt found only in Dun Morogh, Winterspring, and Northrend. The three named polar bears, Mangeclaw, Bjarn, and Ursius, are all fairly popular as Hunter pets.
These long, lean carnivores are slightly taller than grizzly bears. Polar bears fight just as grizzly bears do. A polar bear’s white coat bestows camouflage it in snowy areas. They are found on cold planes, either solitary or in pairs.Template:Cite

[Amani War Bear] would be discontinued from loot tables after WotLK is released. He stated that it is possible a similar mount, possibly a polar bear, may be a likely choice for a ground mount in the second expansion. [1]
