Forsaken Bats serve as the Undercity's equivalent of an air force, patrolling the city from the higher levels to dispose of enemy intruders. It will dismount such enemies with a sonic blast.
When the Forsaken retook the Ruins of Lordaeron, the bats began patrolling the city's skies. Some of them are wounded and tended to by Michael Garrett.

- While the Forsaken have long been using bats as allies (and mounts, such as Forsaken flight paths), post-Cataclysm is the first time they have been seen independent of a flight master.
- Though mostly found throughout the more open-ended areas of the Undercity, a lone bat is seen with Lady Sylvanas Windrunner within her throne room, gliding around her pedestal, and will engage combat if Sylvanas is pulled.
- The Forsaken bats have a wide aggro range, and will also target intruders on the ground levels.
