Windfury Totem is an Air Totem. Shamans can drop it to give a melee and ranged haste buff to their party. It is often abbreviated "WF".

Notes
- Windfury Totem will increase the haste of both main hand and off hand weapons. It is additive to other temporary enhancements like Sharpening Stones,
[Wizard Oil], Poisons, or the shaman's own weapon enhancements like [Flametongue Weapon]. - Before WotLK, this totem used to apply a [Windfury Weapon]-like enchant on the weapons of nearby party members, offering them a significant burst sometimes when they hit with their weapon, but overwriting any temporary enchants like the ones mentioned above, and therefore was very difficult to use properly.
- Before Cataclysm, it only affected melee attacks, not ranged.
- Does not stack with a Frost Death Knight's [Icy Talons], or with [Improved Icy Talons] and [Hunting Party].
Talent improvement
- [Totemic Reach] increases the range of the totem's effect by 15/30%
- [Totemic Focus] reduces the casting cost of the totem by 15/30% and increases their duration by 20/40%.
- [Mental Quickness] reduces the casting cost by 75%
Patch changes
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Windfury Totem is now a 10% buff, and affects ranged as well as melee.
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Windfury Totem is now a flat 20% melee haste totem. All ranks have been modified.
- Patch 1.5.0 (2005-06-07):
- Fixed a bug where Windfury Totems had incorrect level caps when cast by higher level shaman. All totems should now be summoned at the level of the caster.
- Tooltip updated to clarify that only the main-hand weapon is enchanted.
