-The regional commander's forces had converted a large stone mansion into a [[town hall]]; the owner had graciously provided his servants and his farm to assist them as well. Their first task was to plow more farmland for the arrival of more troops, while at the same time training more servants in the ways of construction and mining. An old mine, nearby to the north, was reopened after the second farm was completed, and all available workers helped gather the necessary materials for building. The forest was strangely quiet that day. Their units of footmen stayed close to the hall.

The the day of completion of the farms heralded the arrival of reinforcements, who brought grim news of battles to the south and the presence of several bands of orcs nearbye.
