When a lava pack gets pulled, these monsters should be banished by warlocks first, until the flame elementals are dead. However, it is wise to have pets and/or offtanks assigned to each banished mob or it will likely kill a priest when coming out of the banish. The stun is a fire effect and is resistible, so high FR gear for the warlocks is suggested.
+
Usually when fighting a lava pack, the Lava Reaver will be banished until the Firewalker and Flameguard are dead. Once those two are dead, the Lava Reaver can be released. A tank will grab aggro and the group will DPS it down. It is often a good idea to have a tank on it, even while it is banished. This way if it gets released to so, or a rebanish is resisted, it won't run around killing the Squishies.

Their cleave is a chain cleave, which means it will hit anyone within appx. 5 yards of anyone else cleaved. As such, the melee DPS needs to be as far away from the tank as possible while DPSing these. Otherwise, the cleave will hit all of melee, kill people, and slow the raid down. These mobs are generally level 63, and have increased resistances as one would expect for the level difference. Their cleave can hit cloth very hard and as such should be tanked away from the group.
