My favourite villain is Archimonde, I like his role in the War of the Ancients. However, I also favour Illidan and Queen Azshara.Dakovski (talk) 14:29, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Deathwing for me too. Evil, powerful, scheming, mysterious, and seems to have his claws into alot of things. I hope they open up Grim Batol and we get to see Deathwing directly. Yep gotta be Deathwing, though not cause he is so evil, cause he is so INSANE! lol i've read every book on WoW and the stuff Deathwing does, even little things? reminds me of Megatron from transformers, or Visser Three from Animorphs... Seems I started something by mentioning Deathwing ;) Makes me wonder how spoilery these forums should be - but I suppose if you come to WoWWiki, you gotta expect to read news (except for our brief novel waiting periods). OMG, can't believe i forgot Gul'dan! He so needs to come back and have an ultimate face off with Ner'zhul. I've always maintained that Illidan should have been possessed by Gul'dan, and that's how he should have come back- BtDP implies that some part of Gul'dan is still inside the Skull.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 00:42, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

I disagree, i don't think Gul'dan is the type to ever really "serve" someone else, he's too self-centred. Sure he played along with the big demons cause he was scared of them, but he always planned on becoming more powerfull then the lot of them, i think God status was very much in his master plan... too bad those demons in the tomb got to him first... Oh and i think Illidan is to indepenedent to be merely a possessed puppet, though Ner'zhul vs Gul'dan in Arthas and Illidan's bodies would be an epic battle... Gul'dan never served anyone explicitly. Though he was ultimately a pawn in the games of Kil'jaeden and Sargeras, he had significantly greater control over affairs than most other "minion" characters.

In my opinion, being insane or wanting to destroy everything like mad doesn't make you a good villain: you're just chaotic and don't care about anyone. Those characters don't tend to try to rule the world or make plots. So, the only ones I feel are good villains are the Lich King and Sargeras and, since the LK is a bit weird these last days, and that we know there's only Arthas now, Ner'zhul, the great plotter, is no more, so Sargeras is my choice. You really never see the chaos in anything but the WCIII manual and bits in the RPG. It is true? Old Gods have plans. Look the the War of the Ancients Trilogy and the later Yogg-Saron quests.--SWM2448 20:08, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

check out War of the Ancients trilogy, they wanted to use the Demon Soul to summon Sargeras, Deathwing wanted to keep the Demon Soul for himself. They may have plans which align at times, but at the end of the day Deathwing is more concerened about himself then the Old Gods... Max Krist (talk) 09:43, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I'd say Sargeras, because several of the rest of them are directly or indirectly his fault.  However, he may just be too indirect.  So I'm voting Kil'jaeden which may or may not have anything to do with my possibly having thrown a demonic Mary Sue to him in a hypothetical PPC mission.
