I am curious, i know to get the full experience of WOW you need to have buy the expansions. But do you need to buy all of them? Or can i buy the lich king expansion and call it good? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Losthero253 (talk · contr).

Yes, Wotlk requires BC and BC requires Classic.

That depends on what you mean by full experience. If you mean classic wow experience, no. If you mean all content, yes. Does that answer your question? BobNamataki (talk) 22:26, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

To make a Blood Elf or Draenei, or to get past level 60 and access Outlands, you need The Burning Crusade. To access Death Knights, Northrend, and level 70+, you need Wrath of the Litch King. To access level 80+ and more things to come, you need Cataclysm.

99% of the players of WoW have all three expansions, without them, you'll never reach endgame and content will never update for you. Content only updates for the high end players; which you can't read. 0.9% of the players only have Burnign Crusade, and 0.01 only have Classic. If you don't have the latest version; yes; you'll be an outcast, you'll be left behind, you'll miss out on a bunch, you won't experience anything new; and things will eventually get boring because you'll eventually master all the raids and never get to try new ones.
