Although there is some useful information here, I think this page should be merged into the work being done in Alchemy recipes. The original BC one was made back when alchemy recipes were not organised as well as they are today, and there is a lot of work being done to further improve the quality of recipes through Forum:Recipe tables as part of the recently stood up Wowpedia:Recipe project (as an example, illustrious alchemy recipes are the first live test of the {{RecipeTable}} template that I made over the last two months in anticipation of Cata). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ddcorkum (talk · contr).
- I do plan on updating the recipes pages with this info, but I am a newbie with wiki and tables, and I find the structure of those pages very hard to understand. Also as a user I really don't like them: The info is hard to read, and not presented in any kind of way that I find personally useful. I took over maintaining the BC version of this guide after the original creator posted it elsewhere, and I created the Wrath version. So I more or less felt obligated to keep the tradition going. - Don't get me wrong -- I do like the simplicity of this page (and yea, I hear you on the tradition bit -- I've been the one doing the same on the other version. lol). I just recall that the original page was made partly because the alchemy recipes list was one giant table with no sorting whatsoever (well, sorted by skill level but thats it). Today though the sections are sorted by expansion (and load on demand) and then further subdivided into tables by source. Effectively that's what this page does too. Anyways, I won't put a {{merge}} tag up because I do see benefit in having a simplified, non-table version... but I guess basically I'm just wondering what can be done to the main page that isn't being done already?
