| + | There was a Water Elemental quest giver in Stonetalon for the Horde who said something along the lines of the spirits within him were happy the player "killed" off the fire elementals in the area and recovered their Incendites or whatever. So I think Elementals might actually be the manifestation of various spirits. So in a sense, elementals and spirits are the same. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the Outland elementals talked about an elemental plane. Not sure if they naturally had their own or if they were tied to the one the Titans created. Blizz hasn't really touched upon this topic, so it's hard to say. Quests are ideal for learning lore, but I get the feeling that the quest designers might not be on the same page as some of the more specific points in lore, which would explain the large amounts of retcons here and there. just finished reading Wow:Shaman and now i am getting more confused about the difference between elemental spirit and elemental... some people says that elemental spirit and elemental minion of old gods are different... yet some people said it is the same... the manga itself shows that the elemental spirit that shaman draws their power from, posses some connection to old god's minion (that i won't mention to avoid spoiling the story) now anyone can tell me more detail about this as this started to confuse me more and more... are the spirits that shaman contract is different from the elemental minion of old gods or are they the same... my best guess is that even element have factions and not all elements serve old gods... but still anyone have any idea about this... --Dainsleaf (talk) 16:29, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
