Drak'thul

Drak'thul the Warlock

Drak'thul was a warlock in Gul'dan's Stormreaver Clan. When they betrayed the Horde, they fled to the Broken Isles, and raised the Tomb of Sargeras from the seafloor. But when Gul'dan entered the Tomb, he was maimed by the guardian demons. Between them and the vengeful Blackrock Clan forces, the Stormreaver and Twilight's Hammer Clans were eradicated, all except Drak'thul. Drak'thul became a hermit, wandering about the Broken Isles, and chased by the ghosts of the many orcs who died in the battle.

After twenty years of survival, Drak'thul was discovered by the Warden Maiev, who asked him what had happened there. Drak'thul, wishing to be rid of the ghosts, told Maiev that if she destroyed the battling apparitions, he would tell her his story.

Maiev destroyed the skeletal orcs, and returned to Drak'thul, but when he told her his story, her eyes darkened, and she regretted doing his bidding. But she left him alive, and he disappeared into his hut. He has not been seen since. It is highly probable that he still lives, but appears to be of no danger, caring little for the affairs of others. He has not been identified as a member of the new Shadow Council, likely because he curses the very memory of Gul'Dan.
