Deflect is a little understood and rarely used mechanic. It can occur with spells or melee attacks. A deflect negates all the effects of these attacks if it occurs. It is not known what the chance is to deflect nor if it requires any type of weapon or offhand equipped. It has been compared to the parry rating, which may affect the chance to deflect.
