Forums: Village pumpWarcraft games How do I use the Inscription of the Blade?

The Augments article ( http://www.wowpedia.org/Augments#Inscriptions ) states: "An augment is a special enchant-granting item that does not require the services of an enchanter to apply." and "Inscriptions can only be placed on items you own (they cannot be applied through the Trade window), and will soulbind any items that are not already soulbound if applied."

My PC has obtained an "Inscription of the Blade" from the Scryer Inscriptionist in the Scryer Bank (Shattrath City).

However, when my PC attempts to use the "Inscription" to apply the augment to the armor that is equipped in his Shoulder slot, error messages both spoken and written are the response -- to the effect that he cannot do that, and that he is not capable of doing that. So at this point, the inscription is useless.

How can my PC apply the "inscription" to the shoulder-slot armor with which he is equipped??

[Inscription of the Blade] works just like an enchantment scroll. Open your character window ('c') and open your bag with the inscription, right-click on the inscription, and left-click on your shoulder armor in your character window.
It is possible that you have fallen below the required reputation (Honored with Scryers) or are below level 64 which is also required. --Gengar orange 22x22 Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 9:35 AM PST 27 May 2011
