Astaria is the daughter of Valstann Staghelm and Leyara. Astaria never got the chance to know her father as he was killed during the War of the Shifting Sands,and she was born shortly after his death. Astaria would live in relative peace with her mother in Ashenvale until the Horde began fighting to control the forests in cataclysm. Over the course of the fighting Astaria would be killed, an event that would see her now insane grandfather induct her mother into the Druids of the Flame.
