- For other uses, see Champion.
During the closed testing stage of the The Burning Crusade around late summer 2006, several Champion spells were discovered on data gathering sites such as Thottbot. These powerful spells would have allowed a priest to make an ally (presumably another player) their champion for two hours, and to provide that ally with buffs and other benefits.
List of spells[]
Name | Level | Description |
---|---|---|
[Proclaim Champion] | 62 | Proclaim the friendly target as your champion for 2 hrs. Increases armor by 230, all resistances by 10 and allows the use of various Champion spells on that target. |
[Champion's Grace] | 62 | Bestow the target Champion with grace, increasing all healing done by the priest by 30%. Lasts 2 hrs. |
[Champion's Bond] | 64 | Creates a bond between priest and Champion. When the priest takes damage up to 20 will be taken by the Champion instead. Lasts 10 min. |
[Empower Champion] | 66 | Empower the target Champion, increasing all healing and spell damage done by up to 100. Lasts 2 hrs. |
[Summon Champion] | 68 | Summon the priest's Champion from anywhere in the world. |
[Revive Champion] | 70 | Return the priest's Champion to life with 3500 health and 3600 mana. |
Notes[]
- The Champion concept later appeared again with another unused spell, [Holy Champion], which was added to the database toward the end of Wrath of the Lich King. Unlike [Proclaim Champion], this spell would not have enabled the use of any additional spells.
