The Celestial Orb is a quest reward from the Mage quest Mana Surges which starts with Tabetha in Dustwallow Marsh.
Notes
- This item has a 30-minute cooldown.
- Since it is an offhand item, it can be equipped or unequipped during combat. A good strategy is to equip it right before a long boss fight (there is a 30-second timer before you can actually use it), use it once you've burned through around 1200 mana, and then switch back to your regular staff/offhand. This makes the Celestial Orb useful even at level 60 in a raid environment.
