(archived comment: <i>These have actually all been written already, but do lack some consistency. If we can work on a Boilerplate and then retro-fit the existing pages to it, it might help newcomers to the site by laying everything out in one, consistent manner but I wouldn't view this as a priority. Best to focus on the new content first perhaps.</i>)

==Boilerplate: Spell Lists==

*[[Spells Template]]

Just like it says on the tin! A Boilerplate for a spell list for those classes that use em.

[[Mage Spells]] and [[Warlock Spells]] are two examples, but the Warlocks is probably a better standard. (Mage spells was made before Boilerplates, so cut the mages some slack.)

-- '' Wait... stop cutting them slack. The mage spells are now up to code, so to speak, though there's a lot of extra info on the [[Mage Spells]] page then there needs to be. Each individual mage spell, however, is pristine and beautiful and is the sort of thing that causes rainclouds to part and grown men to weep with joy. Errr... [[Mage Spells]] and [[Shaman Spells]] can be considered two examples of what we should shoot for. Props out to all the contributors to these pages. '' --[[User:RoJ|RoJ]] 14:30, 2 May 2005 (EDT)

:I'm odd. I changed the [[Druid Spells]] page to look like the [[Shaman Spells]] page, but the actual spell pages look like the Single Spell Boilerplate. Druid spells still need a lot of work, though, as most of the mid-higher level spells have not been entered in. I've also noticed that you can only use a Boilerplate so many times on a page before it stops working, <nowiki>{{sectionstub}}</nowiki> for instance.

'' A "proper" spell Boilerplate Boilerplate would be damned impractical. Using [[Mage Spell Boilerplate]], a mage specific copy of the [[Single Spell Boilerplate]], though I'm using slightly different ranks table. I think mine looks cleaner on the page (padding breaks up columns instead of just rows) as well as in the code... the table Boilerplates used in the single spell Boilerplate makes using pictures for coins in the "cost" field very messy. If folks don't agree, I can change 'em. :) '' --[[User:RoJ|RoJ]] 14:32, 4 Mar 2005 (EST)

==Boilerplate: Abilities article==

[[Abilities Template]]

For pages such as the [[Warrior Abilities]].

Again, I think we've just got the Warrior one for now, so maybe we can base a Boilerplate on that (or make a Boilerplate and adapt the existing page :))

==Boilerplate: Single Ability==

*[[Single Ability Template]]

Heavily based on the [[Single Spell Boilerplate]], try to keep them inline with each other if possible.

==Boilerplate: Talents Template==

*[[Talents Template]]

Don't think we've got any talents pages yet? // Please create boilerplate if needed.

==Boilerplate: Starting Guides for Classes ==

*[[Starting a Class Template]]

We've got a number of pages giving a starting guide for levels 1-10 of certain classes.

Examples are [[Starting a Warlock]], [[Starting a Mage]], [[Starting a Warrior]], [[Starting a Rogue]]

If someone can pull together the good features from these to make a Boilerplate it'd be great!

==Boilerplate:Class Tactics==

*[[Class Tactics Template]]

Don't think we've got any of these. What I was thinking for these pages is that they'd give a fairly short discussion on the more advanced aspects of each class, but then shoot off with lots of links to some really in-depth pages. Some of these may be shared between classes (e.g. pulling, crowd control, DPS calculations) whereas others would be class specific (talent builds, high-end class quests, PvP tactics, whatever)

Any further thoughts also welcome

==Boilerplate: Quest article==

*[[Quests Template]]

For the [[Quests]] page. I've recently added a couple of quests, [[Milly's Harvest]] and [[Brotherhood of Thieves]]. Although they do follow the same Boilerplate I think it could probably use a little improving.

I'm also wondering how much we should make use of other sites such as linking to thottbot for these pages? Currently I just linked the rewards, but we could link the actual quests too. Its still useful having quest pages though, because people can add useful tips on how to complete them. I know I spent ages trying to find hillary's necklace in Redridge the first time for example - I was looking for a necklace, not a pile of dirt dammit! :)
